First shots with the Canon 24-70mm f2.8 LII USM

24-70mm LII 2
I got my hands on this new lens for the first time and as expected (from all the reviews) the lens is incredibly amazing! Just from a few shots I took it is  very sharp at both ends of its focal range.

UPDATE (12 Apr 2013) : I've since moved on to only shoot with this lens versus the older 24-70mm. There's just too much of an improvement too ignore.  I use it a lot in wedding shoots: www.BandePix.co.za

Can’t wait to use the new Canon 24-70m f2.8 LII lens this Sunday!

Going to be doing a sunset couple photo-shoot in Camps Bay.

This is how it starts: I rent out a great piece of gear that I love and then:
- get tortured by its brilliance,
- realise I can’t continue working without it (false thought),
- start making calculations,
- work my butt off for months and get it.

Here we go again?

The only challenge is that there’s a few other things waiting in line. It doesn’t help that this lens costs twice the price of its predecessor!
